Stories for eLearning
Presenter: Rance Greene

You want to engage your learners. You've heard that storytelling is good for that, but you don't know where to begin. Perhaps you don't feel like you're a very good writer. Or you know how to write a good story, but you aren't sure how to connect it to learning objectives.

How can you concretely connect powerful stories to learning? Doesn’t it take high-tech tools to make effective stories a reality? How are you going to convince stakeholders to buy in to a story design model? What even is a story?

About the speaker
Rance Greene, award-winning storyteller and instructional designer, shares answers to these questions and more. Rance transformed compliance training at Health Care Service Corporation to a storytelling platform. His ground-breaking principles of story design have helped other instructional designers do the same for their companies, like Pizza Hut and Great Dane Trailers. He offers master classes in Story Design and Visual Storytelling through his company, needastory.com, and is happy to partner with North Texas Articulate User Group to talk about some of the most pressing questions surrounding the use of stories for eLearning. Regardless of what authoring tool or LMS your company uses, stories transcend all mediums. Join us for a lively, engaging conversation and enjoy listening to a few stories!
